LAUNCH COUNTDOWN

EF1 HANDHELD LAUNCHES IN

The EF1 E6B app is live today. This is the countdown to the handheld.

Introducing EF1

EF1 is a modern handheld flight computer built by aviators for the realities of aviation training, testing, and life at the controls. Fast, durable, and designed around the calculations pilots actually use, EF1 delivers essential flight planning and performance tools without the unnecessary complexity of legacy systems.

EF1 complies with FAA Order 8080.6 and AC 60-11, and may be used during FAA and Canadian aviation knowledge exams. The test proctor has the final say.

WHY PILOTS CHOOSE EF1

  • BUILT FOR THE FAA KNOWLEDGE TEST

Complies with FAA Order 8080.6 and AC 60-11 for electronic test aids, and clears all memory when the batteries come out. For FAA and Canadian written exams. The test proctor has the final say.

  • All your aviation math in one

Pressure and density altitude, ground speed, wind correction, true airspeed and Mach, compass heading, fuel burn, crosswind, glide, cloud base, and holding pattern entry. Plus weight and balance, and cross country planning for up to 10 checkpoints.

  • Rechargeable Batteries

Comes with 4 rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries that charge over USB-C. Charge for about 4 hours before first use. Wall adapter not included.

Everything you need to fly.

Can I use EF1 on my FAA knowledge exam?

EF1 complies with FAA Order 8080.6 and AC 60-11, and may be used during FAA and Canadian aviation knowledge exams. It keeps no data after power loss, so taking the batteries out clears the memory. Acceptance is at the proctor's discretion, so arrive early and bring EF1 out of your bag at check-in.
